Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your name and email address when you subscribe or create an account.
• Authentication data: a securely hashed password if you sign up with email and password, or a Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
• Payment information: when you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details and subscription status, but we do not store your full card number.
• Content you provide: sermon subjects, scripture references, and other inputs you submit to the illustration builder.
• Usage information: basic technical data such as pages visited and actions taken, used to operate and improve the service.
• Cookies and similar technologies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie that remembers your chosen language.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve PreachReady.
• To deliver your weekly illustrations and send account and transactional emails.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To respond to your requests and provide customer support.
• To protect the security and integrity of the service and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate PreachReady, and only as needed to provide the service:

• Stripe — to process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Amazon Web Services (including Amazon SES) — for hosting and to send transactional and weekly emails.
• Anthropic — the inputs you submit to the illustration builder are sent to Anthropic’s AI service to generate illustrations.

Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a language preference cookie (named "preachready_lang") to remember your selected language. You can clear cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or reset your preferences.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We will delete or anonymize your information on request, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Unsubscribe from marketing or weekly emails at any time using the link in those emails.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including hashing passwords and restricting access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

PreachReady is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International data transfers

We are based in Ontario, Canada. Your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice through the service or by email.
