Most of us have had the experience of ignoring our GPS for a few turns and then hearing that calm, patient voice say, 'Recalculating.' It doesn't panic. That's what sustained time in the Word does. It's less about having a resource to consult in a crisis and more about being slowly, quietly shaped into someone whose instincts run toward God.
